University Specific Resources
Western Sydney University only recognizes students as part of a student club when they join OrgSync, the student clubs’ funding, equipment and events rely mainly on the number of members using the OrgSync platform.

The following video explains how to join orgsync on a computer using an on screen step by step recording.

Make sure you join the Club’s Facebook Page and Instagram for all updates!

This video provides tips that maximize event approval, explains how to submit an event form on Orgsync and what happens after submission.

The first tip is to apply for the event early, at least 2-3 weeks before the event, giving University enough time to process and review your event request. The second tip is to write a sufficient description of the event in your form including location, topic and number of attendees, keeping in mind that Campus Life, Capital Works and security all have to review the request before the final approval. So the more detail you provide, the less questions and the faster you’ll receive approval in sha’ Allah

The final tip is to write a sufficient description of any external speakers. Simply writing shaykh Abu Ahmad or shaykh Mohammad is not enough so it is crucial to write a small summary about the speaker.
This includes their real name alongside their kunya (nickname), where they studied, their place of work, position within the community and a small summary of the topic to be discussed in the event.

Normally it takes 3 to 5 business days to receive an outcome for your event request.

This video provides tips that maximize the chances of approval of a Budget Request, explains how to submit a budget request on Orgsync and what happens after submission.

The first tip is to submit the budget request early, at least 2-3 weeks before the event. Note that budgets above $200 take longer to be processed.

The second tip is to write sufficient details on your budget expenditure starting with the budget type (event, equipment etc), planned funding distribution (Qty, price, supplier) and number and nature of attendees you are catering for through this budget.

The third tip is to clearly specify the % of reimbursement from the total cost of the event, where you can roughly claim 100% reimbursement on events open for all students on campus, and 50% reimbursement on club specific events and activities.

The final tip is to provide multiple quotes on certain costly items, showing that you have searched for the best price and quality for items like banners, shirts and so on.
